Fiction

We get so many submissions--here are a few guidelines to make the mob a little less mob-like.

1) Send a SASE with your submission. I will not read a submission without an SASE, because I do not have the time or money to stamp and address my own envelope.

2) Do not send me an overly written Cover Letter. I really only want to read your name and address and the name of your submission. The rest--I don't care.

3) Send your best legible work to:
       New Stone Circle
       ATTN: Literature Editor
       918 W. Winona #307
       Chicago, IL 60640

I don't want electronic submissions--my mind starts to wander after the first sentence on a computer screen.

4) It helps to order a sample issue. It helps us to keep the boat afloat so New Stone Circle will be around to print a new story--helps you decide if your stories will be a good fit.

5) Feel free to tell us what you like or don't like about New Stone Circle. I would love to hear your constructive criticism.

Dylan Heath is a Journalism student at Roosevelt University. He inherited New Stone Circle from his mother after she moved on to other work. On his days off, Dylan likes to go to the Lake. He likes the waves. He likes them when they are off in the distance or when they are heavy and hit the wall and shoot up ten feet. If you corner him at a party he will tell you, with great enthusiasm, how to fix the newspaper business. One day he will own a motorcycle.
